Wind Me Up

Released in 1988 as a 12 inch single on Pow Wow Records, Wind Me Up was credited to MC Bam Bam and built around vocal, dub, bonus beats, instrumental and city mix versions. The release credits B Lowery and R Brown as producers and writers, C Williams as co producer and Two Tuff Productions for the mix. The single placed MC Bam Bam in the late 1980s street rap and club twelve inch market alongside Pow Wow Records releases. Its compact vocal and beat focused format suited DJs working between hip hop, electro and early hip house sets. Wind Me Up remains a specialist late 1980s twelve inch collected through Pow Wow and Rhythm Attack pressings. Its continuing visibility comes from collector circulation and discographic listings rather than mainstream chart history.
