There Must Be a Dub

Jacin recorded and mixed the track at High Tension Studio in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. It was issued as part of the 2023 album There Must Be a Reason, with Dimitri I credited as executive producer. The track appeared on Jacin’s debut album-length statement and helped define the release’s blend of roots-dub songwriting and instrumental versioning. It sat alongside vocal cuts and dubs that framed Jacin as a West African dub producer. The track remains part of Jacin’s early catalog and documents the growth of dub production from Abidjan. It continues to circulate through the album’s digital release and soundtrack-adjacent roots-dub playlists.
