Recording

Eat Static recorded Interceptor with Merv Pepler, Joie Hinton, and Steve Everitt credited as composers on the 1997 Planet Dog release. The Decoder Remix was mixed by Decoder and issued on the Interceptor single and Interceptor EP alongside Eat Static, C.J. Bolland, and T-Power versions. Released in 1997 on Planet Dog, the single tied Eat Static's Science Of The Gods period to the UK drum and bass remix market. Interceptor reached number 44 on the UK Official Singles Chart and spent two weeks on the chart. The Decoder Remix remains one of the documented drum and bass versions from Eat Static's late-1990s Planet Dog catalogue. Later expanded digital editions kept it available alongside the original mix and other Interceptor remixes.
