Song for No One

Miike Snow recorded “Song For No One” during the sessions for their self-titled debut album at Robotberget in Stockholm. Andrew Wyatt, Christian Karlsson and Pontus Winnberg wrote and produced the track as Miike Snow, with Anders Hvenare mixing and Ted Jensen mastering the album. Released by Downtown in 2009 on Miike Snow, the track appeared near the centre of the trio’s debut album after “Animal” had introduced the project internationally. Contemporary reviews treated it as one of the album’s brighter pop moments within the group’s first move from behind-the-scenes production work into their own band identity. The track remains a recognised album cut from Miike Snow’s debut and part of the record that established Andrew Wyatt, Christian Karlsson and Pontus Winnberg as a performing group.
