Love You Madly

Love You Madly

CAKE · 2001
Recording

Written by John McCrea, the track was recorded and mixed at Paradise Studios in Sacramento for Comfort Eagle. CAKE produced and arranged it, with John McCrea and Kirt Shearer handling the mix. It became the album's second single after the September 11 attacks prompted the band to withdraw the planned title-track single because of its lyrical references. Its inclusion on the soundtrack to the 2008 film Forgetting Sarah Marshall brought the recording to a later cinema audience.
