Recording

The track was recorded in 1966 during the sessions for The Psychedelic Sounds of the 13th Floor Elevators with Roky Erickson, Stacy Sutherland, Tommy Hall, Benny Thurman and John Ike Walton. The recording was made in Houston for International Artists, with Lelan Rogers producing the band early studio work. Released on The Psychedelic Sounds of the 13th Floor Elevators in 1966, it became one of the band defining early songs. The track helped establish the group place in the emerging Texas psychedelic rock scene alongside Youre Gonna Miss Me.
