Remind Me

Röyksopp recorded “Remind Me” in 2001 for Melody A.M., with Erlend Øye of Kings of Convenience providing the lead vocal. Svein Berge and Torbjørn Brundtland wrote the track with Øye and produced it as Röyksopp, while the 2002 single version used Someone Else’s remix. Released by Wall of Sound in 2002 as a double A-side with “So Easy”, it became one of Röyksopp’s key UK breakthrough singles and reached number 21 on the UK Official Singles Chart. Its smooth electronic arrangement, Øye’s understated vocal and award-winning H5 infographic video helped define the visual and musical identity of Melody A.M. The track remains one of Röyksopp’s signature early recordings and a central song from the Melody A.M. era. Its later use in a GEICO commercial and the continuing reputation of its animated video extended its reach beyond the early-2000s electronic audience.
