Recording

The track was recorded for The Loon with Josh Grier, Jeremy Hanson, Matt Kretzmann and Erik Appelwick during the Minneapolis band early independent period. The album was produced by the band with engineer Brent Sigmeth and first released through their own Ibid Records imprint. Released on The Loon in 2005, it became one of the songs that helped Tapes n Tapes break through during the mid 2000s music blog era. The track contributed to the attention that led to the album wider 2006 reissue through XL Recordings. It remains one of the best known songs from The Loon and a marker of the blog driven indie rock moment of the mid 2000s. The recording continues to represent the band sharp, rhythm driven early sound.
