illusion Mode

EMS released Illusion Mode on the 2004 album Synchronaut for Satamile Records NYC. The track was produced by Stephen Machnowski under his Electro Music Specialists alias, using his self-built synthesizers, vocoders, and drum machines. The track formed part of EMS's full-length Satamile release after a run of earlier EPs on the label. Synchronaut documented Machnowski's New York electro production style for one of the key American electro labels of the period. Illusion Mode remains preserved through Synchronaut and its later digital circulation. It represents EMS's hardware-built electro approach within the Satamile Records NYC catalogue.
