Recording

“Concrete Shoes” was released in 1997 by Dom & Optical on the Moving Shadow 12-inch “Quadrant Six / Concrete Shoes.” The track was written and produced by Dominic Angas, with Optical credited as the featured collaborator on the release. The single placed Dom & Roland and Optical within Moving Shadow’s 1997 catalogue at a point when both producers were shaping darker, more technical club tracks. It appeared as SHADOW 111 and circulated as a specialist 12-inch rather than a mainstream chart single. “Concrete Shoes” remains a documented Dom & Optical collaboration from the pre-“Industry” Dom & Roland period. Its continued digital availability and collector presence keep it tied to Moving Shadow’s late-1990s catalogue.
