The Power

The track was written and produced by Michael Münzing and Luca Anzilotti, then re-recorded for the international Snap! release with new vocals by Turbo B and Penny Ford. The original German single was issued in 1990 and became the basis for the version released outside Germany. It launched Snap! as a major international act and became a defining early-1990s Eurodance hit. The single reached number one in the UK and several European markets, and later criticism and retrospectives treated it as one of the era’s standout dance records. The song remained Snap!'s signature hit and one of the most recognizable dance tracks of the 1990s. Rolling Stone later included it in its list of the 200 Greatest Dance Songs of All Time.
