Recording

Recorded in Vienna during sessions for Tosca's second studio album Suzuki. Richard Dorfmeister and Rupert Huber wrote and produced the track, integrating sampled voice fragments and instrumental textures into the duo's studio-based arrangement. Released by G-Stone Recordings and Studio !K7 in 2000, Orozco appeared as a central track on Suzuki. The album became one of Tosca's defining releases and helped consolidate the Vienna downtempo scene around the post-Kruder & Dorfmeister international club audience. Orozco remains one of Tosca's best-known album tracks and a durable reference point for their early catalogue. Its restrained groove, vocal fragments, and remix-friendly structure kept it active in lounge, downtempo, and chillout contexts after Suzuki.
