Never Like This

Recorded for the Backatcha sessions at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley, with additional recording at Kendun Recorders in Burbank. The original release credits Harvey Fuqua as producer. Issued in 1980 as the follow-up single from Backatcha, it continued the duo’s Fantasy/Honey run after their debut as Two Tons O' Fun. The song reached No. 55 on Billboard’s Hot Soul Singles chart. The track remains part of the Weather Girls’ early catalog and has stayed in circulation through later compilations, including the 2024 Fantasy/Honey anthology Get the Feeling: The Complete Fantasy/Honey Recordings.
