Don't Laugh

Winx recorded Don't Laugh at Ovum Sound Studios and released it in 1995 through Nervous Records, with later UK release on XL Recordings. The record was written and produced by Josh Wink for Winking Productions. The single became one of Josh Wink's defining mid-1990s club records and reached number 38 on the UK Official Singles Chart. Its manic laugh sample and acid-driven arrangement made it a distinctive crossover moment from underground club play into the UK chart. Don't Laugh remained part of Wink's core catalogue through later remixes and Don't Laugh 2000 editions. It stands as one of the most recognisable examples of his Winx alias and his 1995 breakthrough period.
