Supergrass · 2002
Recording

Recorded between October 2001 and March 2002 during the Life on Other Planets sessions, with Gaz Coombes, Mick Quinn, Danny Goffey, and Rob Coombes working with producer Tony Hoffer. The album sessions took place at Mayfair, Heliocentric, and Rockfield studios. Released by Parlophone in January 2003 as the third single from Life on Other Planets, Seen The Light reached number 22 on the UK Singles Chart. It captured the album's compact, 1970s-rooted rock approach and kept Supergrass in the UK Top 40 after Grace. Seen The Light remained a prominent song from Supergrass's early 2000s catalogue and was later included on Supergrass Is 10. Its video and single release helped define the Life on Other Planets era after Rob Coombes became a full band member.
