You Got Time and I Got Money

Recorded for Smerz's 2025 album Big city life, with Catharina Stoltenberg and Henriette Motzfeldt writing and producing the track. The song was released ahead of the album alongside a self-directed video made with Benjamin Barron and Bror August Vestbo. Released by Escho in 2025, You got time and I got money introduced Big city life as Smerz returned to the Copenhagen label after their early Okey EP. The song became one of the album's standout tracks and was highlighted in year-end critical coverage. The track quickly became the defining song from Big city life, helped by its video and later remix activity around the album. Its reach was extended by the Big city life EDITS project, including a Smerz and VVTZJ edit featuring Clairo.
