Do It ('Til You're Satisfied)
B.T. Express · 1974Recording
Recorded in 1974 at Ultra-Sonic Recording Studios in Hempstead, New York, the Billy Nichols composition was produced by Jeff Lane and engineered by John Bradley. Barbara Joyce Lomas supplied lead vocals, and Trade Martin arranged the strings. The group's breakthrough single sold more than a million copies, topped the American R&B chart and reached number two on the Billboard Hot 100. Its success established B.T. Express nationally and helped propel their debut album to number five. The recording was sampled in Truth Hurts' 2002 hit Addictive, featuring Rakim. Its later appearances in Invincible and Grand Theft Auto V extended its cultural reach.
