Salt - Hung Up

Salt released Hung-Up as a 7-inch single on Choctaw Records in 1972. The record was written by L. Jones and produced by H. and L. Productions, with later reissues presenting it as a New Orleans funk 45. The single became known as a rare heavy funk record rather than a mainstream chart hit. Soul Jazz later reissued it as an exact-replica 45 after original copies became highly sought after by collectors. Hung-Up remains a cult funk breakbeat record and a rare-groove collector title. Its reissue history through Soul Jazz and related funk compilations kept the track in circulation for DJs and funk collectors.
