Gee Up

Gee Up was recorded by Adam Bainbridge as Kindness and first issued as the B-side to Swingin' Party on the Moshi Moshi Singles Club in 2009. The later album version was produced by Adam Bainbridge and Philippe Zdar, with Zdar also mixing the track for World, You Need a Change of Mind. The track moved from Kindness's early Moshi Moshi single period into the 2012 World, You Need a Change of Mind campaign. Pitchfork highlighted Gee Up ahead of the album release, placing it alongside SEOD and Cyan as part of Kindness's first full-length rollout. Gee Up remains one of Kindness's best-documented early songs and a bridge between the project's lo-fi single beginnings and the polished Philippe Zdar-produced debut album. Its 2012 single and remix editions kept the track active beyond the original 7-inch pressing.
