Holdin On

Flume released Holdin On as a single from his self-titled debut album in 2012. The track was composed and produced by Harley Streten and used a vocal source credited to Otis Redding. Holdin On became one of Flume's breakthrough Australian singles and reached number 17 on the ARIA Singles Chart in 2013. It placed fourth in Triple J's Hottest 100 of 2012 and was nominated for Song of the Year at the 2013 ARIA Music Awards. Holdin On remains one of Flume's signature early tracks and a central record from his debut album. Its chopped soul vocal, swinging rhythm, and Australian chart success helped establish his international production profile.
