Shakedown (Purple Disco Machine Remix)

Defected released the remix single on June 1, 2018; it reworks Shakedown’s 2002 track “At Night,” keeps Terra Deva’s vocals, and credits Purple Disco Machine as the remixer and mixing engineer. Defected described the original as one of the most recognisable house records of the last two decades, and positioned the Purple Disco Machine version as one of the year’s standout remixes. The remix was also promoted as a Beatport and Traxsource No. 1, which gave it strong club visibility. The remix helped keep “At Night” in circulation on modern house floors and later appeared in Purple Disco Machine retrospective compilations and label features. It remains part of the track’s long remix life, alongside other reinterpretations that have sustained its after-hours reputation.
