Dancing (Again!)
Eats Everything · 2015Produced by Bristol-based Dan Pearce (Eats Everything), the track evolved from a live DJ mashup at Bugged Out Weekender where Pearce layered Breach's "Jack" vocal over Ron Costa's "Gez Uri," later replacing the vocal with an acapella of Tiga and Audion's "Let's Go Dancing" provided directly by Tiga. Disclosure and the Method team arranged the official release after hundreds of fans sent Pearce videos asking for a track ID. DJ Mag readers voted it Best British Remix of 2015, and VICE premiered the Studio Moross-directed video, describing it as proof that simplicity is perfection. Eats Everything took no royalties from the release, directing all proceeds to the label, with Ron Costa, Tiga, and Audion all clearing their respective elements for the official version. The track stands as one of the most celebrated bootleg-to-official releases in UK house music, demonstrating how a spontaneous live DJ moment could generate enough demand to produce a legitimate multi-party release, and became a signature peak-time weapon for Eats Everything and his contemporaries.
