Free Fall

Free Fall was produced by Berlin-based DJ and producer Anja Schneider for her four-track Twisty EP, released in July 2017. The six-minute, 56-second recording features a stripped-back rhythmic groove, infectious synthesizer hooks and stuttering vocal fragments, with mastering handled by Pobla. Released on 21 July 2017 through Hot Since 82's Knee Deep In Sound label, Free Fall marked Schneider's collaboration with the imprint ahead of the release of her second album, SoMe. The track received club support from Hot Since 82, who placed it first in his July 2017 Traxsource chart, and was accompanied by a remix from British producer Alex Arnout. Free Fall remains part of Schneider's 2017 catalogue, documenting her club-focused production immediately before the launch of her Sous label and the release of SoMe. Alex Arnout's remix provided an alternative interpretation built around brighter chord progressions and robust rhythms, extending the original release's appeal to DJs.
