After the Storm

Recorded for Kali Uchis's debut album Isolation with guest vocals from Tyler, the Creator and Bootsy Collins. The track was written by Uchis, Tyler, Collins, and BADBADNOTGOOD, who produced the recording, with mixing and mastering completed at Bedrock.LA in Los Angeles. Released by Virgin EMI and Interscope in January 2018, After The Storm became one of the key advance singles from Isolation. Its combination of Uchis, Tyler, Bootsy Collins, and BADBADNOTGOOD helped frame the album as a wide-ranging collaborative breakthrough. The song remains one of Kali Uchis's signature early recordings and a major fan favorite from Isolation. Its Nadia Lee Cohen-directed video and Bootsy Collins feature helped give the track a lasting visual and cross-generational identity.
