Produced by South London multi-instrumentalist Jax Jones (Timucin Aluo), who co-wrote the track with MNEK, featuring vocals from Chicago house legend Mike Dunn and British singer-songwriter MNEK. Jones built the track using his signature live beat-making approach, layering real instruments over a heavyweight bass-driven production. Released on 1 July 2016 through Polydor Records, the track bridged underground Chicago house authenticity with mainstream UK pop sensibility, arriving just after Jones's co-writing and co-production work on Duke Dumont's number one hit "I Got U" and "Ocean Drive" had established his crossover credentials. The single received remix packages from Melé, Preditah, Darius Syrossian, KC Lights, and Danny Howard. The track accumulated over 99 million Spotify streams and set the commercial template for Jones's subsequent string of major UK hits including "You Don't Know Me" featuring RAYE, "Instruction" with Demi Lovato, and "Ring Ring" with Mabel, all of which were collected on his 2019 album Snacks (Supersize).
