The Don

The Don

Alibi · —
Recording

Alibi and Leo recorded The Don for Foundation Records, with the original white-label promo pairing it with Triple X and Cosh's Neutral. The track was first issued in 1997 as The Don / Neutral before the wider 1998 Foundation Records 12-inch release. Released in 1997 on Foundation Records, the track circulated through the late-1990s UK drum and bass white-label market. Its later 1998 issue and remix release kept it active among selectors during the techstep and jump-up crossover period. The track remains a collector-facing Foundation Records release from the late-1990s drum and bass underground. Its survival through vinyl listings, DJ uploads, and specialist record shops preserves Alibi and Leo's place in that era's independent 12-inch culture.
