Jill Scott · 2026
Recording

Released on 9 January 2026 as the second single from Jill Scott's sixth studio album, To Whom This May Concern. Scott co-produced the recording with Vincent Tolan and Adam Blackstone, with Kev Choice arranging and Jeremy Hunter and Eduardo Ghigo engineering. The song marked Scott's return with her first album in more than a decade and addressed the emotional and social pressure to conform to expectations of beauty and status. It reached number one on Billboard's Adult R&B Airplay chart. The track became Scott's fifth number-one single on Billboard's Adult R&B Airplay chart and a central recording from her 2026 comeback. Its message of self-worth and resistance to external pressure reinforced the candid storytelling associated with her work.
