Del Oro

Released as a 2024 Floating Points single and later included on Cascade. The track was recorded and assembled by Sam Shepherd in the same dance-focused creative period that produced the album, with the release issued through Ninja Tune. Del Oro marked Floating Points’ return to tightly focused club music after the more expansive Promises era. It was promoted as a new single with an accompanying visual project, and it helped frame Cascade as a more direct, dancefloor-driven record. Del Oro remains part of Cascade’s core run of singles and is remembered as one of the set’s clearest statements of Floating Points’ modular, late-night dance aesthetic. Its visual presentation and white-label-style release reinforced the track’s cult appeal among fans and DJs.
