You & I

Produced by Australian-born, London-based producer Sonny Fodera, featuring vocals from Janai, the track served as the lead single from Fodera's debut album Frequently Flying on Defected Records. The track had been a guaranteed highlight in Fodera's live sets for twelve months before its October 2016 release, reaching number five on Traxsource, number twenty-two on the Beatport House chart, and the top twenty of the Shazam UK Dance chart. Defected boss Simon Dunmore championed it as another underground hit for the label's rising Australian star. The track remained a staple of Fodera's live sets for nearly a decade, featuring in his 2024 Alexandra Palace mix for Defected, and helped establish the trajectory that led to his later mainstream crossover hits and sold-out arena shows across the UK.
