Bring Me Coffee Or Tea (2004 Digital Remaster)

Can · 1971
Recording

Recorded for Tago Mago at Can Studio in Schloss Nörvenich, West Germany, during the November 1970 to February 1971 sessions. The performance featured Damo Suzuki with Holger Czukay, Michael Karoli, Irmin Schmidt, and Jaki Liebezeit. It closed Can’s landmark 1971 double album Tago Mago, a record that drew major critical acclaim for its radical mix of improvisation, funk, and tape manipulation. The track serves as the album’s final coda and helped frame the release’s shift from intense experimentation to a more playful finish. The song has remained part of the core Tago Mago legacy through later remasters and reissues. Its parent album became a touchstone for later experimental, post-punk, and art-rock artists, extending the track’s cultural reach well beyond Can’s original scene.
