I Love You for All Seasons (Single Version)

Recorded for The Fuzz's self-titled Calla album, with Sheila Young, Val Williams, and Barbara Gilliam performing as the Washington, D.C. vocal trio. Sheila Young wrote the song, Carr-Cee Productions produced it, and Joe Tate arranged the recording. Released by Calla in December 1970, I Love You for All Seasons became The Fuzz's breakthrough single. It reached number 21 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 10 on the Billboard R&B chart in 1971. The song remains The Fuzz's signature recording and the centrepiece of their only album. Its warm vocal arrangement and string-led production later made it a source for hip-hop sampling and soul compilations.
