Venus (Sunshine People) (Pépé Bradock Mix)

Cheek recorded Venus with Gilbert Cohen and Gilb'R associated with the Versatile Records production circle, and the Sunshine People version later received remixes by Pépé Bradock and DJ Gregory. The Pépé Bradock mix appeared on the 1998 Versatile Records remix release after the original 1996 Venus single. Released in 1998 on Versatile Records, the Pépé Bradock mix placed Cheek's Venus in the late-1990s French house market. It connected Versatile's early catalogue with the same Paris club network that produced DJ Gregory, I:Cube, Gilb'R, and Pépé Bradock releases. The mix remains one of the best-known versions of Venus and a documented entry in Pépé Bradock's remix catalogue. Later Versatile digital editions kept the record available beyond its original vinyl circulation.
