Moving 808's

Optical recorded Moving 808s as a solo production by Matt Quinn for Grooverider's Prototype Recordings. The original 12-inch paired Moving 808s with High Tek Dreams and was mastered for the 1997 UK vinyl issue. Released in 1997 on Prototype Recordings, the track appeared during Optical's breakthrough year alongside To Shape The Future and Grey Odyssey. It helped define the precise, futuristic production style associated with the Prototype catalogue before his later Ed Rush and Optical work. The track remains one of Optical's key solo releases from the late-1990s techstep period. Its inclusion in later Optical retrospectives preserved it as part of the pre-Wormhole lineage that shaped his reputation as a producer and engineer.
