Tried

Recorded during the final IV Studio Sessions period after BADBADNOTGOOD and Little Dragon met through live shows and touring circles. Little Dragon added Yukimi Nagano's vocals to an instrumental idea sent by BADBADNOTGOOD, with Matthew Tavares credited as engineer on the 2019 vinyl issue. Released digitally in 2018 through Innovative Leisure and later issued by Ninja Tune, Tried brought together the Toronto group with the Swedish band during BADBADNOTGOOD's post-IV collaborative run. The single was highlighted by Pitchfork and promoted by Ninja Tune as a standalone collaboration. Tried remains a documented crossover single between two acts known for blending live instrumentation with electronic and soul-rooted songwriting. Its 2019 vinyl release reached number 4 on the UK Official Physical Singles Chart and number 2 on the UK Official Vinyl Singles Chart.
