Here Comes The Girls

Here Comes The Girls

Ernie K‐Doe · 1971
Recording

Recorded in New Orleans with Allen Toussaint and Marshall E. Sehorn credited as producers; the release is tied to Toussaint's New Orleans production orbit and later issued on Janus. ([shazam.com](https://www.shazam.com/song/1536499444/here-come-the-girls?utm_source=openai)) The single gave Ernie K-Doe one of his best-known later-era records and became a staple of his Allen Toussaint collaboration catalog. It was first issued in the early 1970s and later resurfaced in the UK charts after being used in a Boots television campaign. ([45cat.com](https://www.45cat.com/artist/ernie-kdoe?utm_source=openai)) The song was interpolated by the Sugababes on their 2008 single “Girls,” and that reuse helped keep it in contemporary circulation. The Boots ad revival pushed it to No. 43 on the Official Singles Chart in 2007. ([en.wikipedia.org](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Girls_%28Sugababes_song%29?utm_source=openai))
