01Who looks after your information
MIXUDG LTD, 42 Bluebell Close, Kingsnorth, Ashford, Kent, TN23 3NG, is responsible for the information described here. Questions: hello@mixudg.com.
02Listening to the radio
You don't need an account to listen, and we don't ask who you are. While you listen, we keep:
- a random listening session number, made afresh each time you open the app or this page — not linked to your name or device;
- which show you listened to, for how long, and which records played while you were listening;
- the country you're listening from (worked out from your connection, to keep the radio to the UK).
We use this to keep the radio to where it's licensed and to report what was played, and how much it was heard, to the music licensing bodies PPL and PRS for Music. They receive totals, never anything about you.
03Applying as a DJ
If you apply to be a DJ, we keep what you send — your name, email, DJ name, the link to your sample mix, genres and what you tell us, and, if you give them, your socials, where you're based, roughly how many followers you have, your residencies and how you heard about us. It is stored in Apple's iCloud, where only MIXUDG's admins can read it, and a copy is emailed to us. We use it to consider your application and reply to you. Only if you tick the box to be kept posted do we also send you MIXUDG news, new shows and opportunities; you can unsubscribe any time. We keep it for up to two years, or less if you ask.
04The apps
The MIXUDG apps for iPhone and Mac have no account to make and nothing to sign in to. The records you save, your sets, your likes and your preferences are kept in your own iCloud account, which we can't see. If you link Apple Music, the app uses it on your device to play records and add them to your playlists; we don't receive your Apple Music data. Show alerts are scheduled on your device. Where the apps use Apple Intelligence, it runs on your device. Our other appslists the other apps we make: the app asks Apple's App Store for them, and on iPhone also reads a short list from polson.app (whose host sees the request's IP address, as any website does); neither request carries anything about you. Listening in the apps is counted exactly as on this website (part 02). The apps don't track you across other companies' apps or websites, or sell or share your information. Some shows have a sponsor: their short message plays before the show, and their name links to their site. Nothing about you goes to a sponsor, and we don't count who clicks.
05This website
The website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. It is hosted by Vercel; the radio's audio and the listening log are kept on Cloudflare; DJ applications are stored in Apple's iCloud, with a backup copy on Cloudflare and an email to us; the station's catalogue is read from Apple's iCloud. They handle the information only to run the service for us.
06Why we're allowed to
We rely on our legitimate interests in running and licensing the radio, on your request when you apply as a DJ, and on your consent if you ask to be kept posted — which you can withdraw at any time.
07Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete information about you, or object to how we use it, by writing to hello@mixudg.com. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
